When I was looking for a Christmas gift for my youngest sister, Yu showed up with a wonderful idea: make together a stuffed monster, a matching painting, and two cushions to decorate her apartment.
I've really enjoyed this idea until I realized we need the same fabric to do that , and since I'm the expert (??!!) in stuffed animals (yes, I made two...), I will have to make this "common" gift!
Grrr, she got me!
But I stopped complaining because I really enjoyed making this stuffed monster. This "monster" is famous in Japan, where it is called Domo.
I love it but it is not famous in France (neither so much in US), so my friends think it looks like a black Sponge Bob, which is not so false.
It was quite easy to make because of it's square shape, but I had two difficulties:
- It's not so easy to put legs and arms in the sides
- If you're sewing after 10 pm, pay attention not to sew the legs on the head... it might happens to everyone! :o)
But afterall, isn't it really cute?
