I'm really late to wrote this post: I made and offered this gift more than 3 months ago, for a really cute baby.
I knew her mother was really fond of assorted clothes: if the older girl wear a dress, she will have assorted top, hair accessories, pantie... and even a second assorted pantie just in case.
So I though making a stuffed animal matching a dress would be wonderful.
After finding a nice linen like Ikea fabric with lines, I bought some plain orange cotton and a yellow bias, and some nice yellow buttons.
I added some butterflies to make it less strict.
It looks great, doesn't it?
The biggest difficulty was to make a good size because on every website (yes, it's a free pattern) it's written: "take the measurement of your daughter". But since it was a gift, I haven't the size of the girl. Plus, I wanted to make a dress for spring/summer, and it was just fall!
Let's talk about the stuffed rabbit.
I really enjoyed sewing it, even if putting the ears, legs and arms inside to sew the body inside-out is not the easiest part. But overall it was a lot of fun to sew that.
So I hope the little girl enjoyed them!
